A watch paved with stones that give away almost nothing. The dial is set edge to edge in black crystals, in a black case, on a black bracelet – and the sparkle only appears when light hits it directly. Case and Wrist Presence Round, compact, and finished in matte black across the bezel, caseband and lugs. The bezel is wide and slopes in toward the sunken dial, so the front of the watch has real depth to it despite being one colour. The crown at three is black and ribbed. Nothing catches light, which means the case outline dissolves against dark clothing and the dial becomes the only visible part of the watch. Dial and Legibility The sunken centre carries rows of small black stones, set close enough that the surface reads as texture until it moves. Above them, the raised dot at twelve is finished in dark grey metal with a fine engine-turned face – one of the few reflective surfaces on the watch. There are no hour markers. The hands are dark and slim. This is not a dial you read across a room; it is one you look at deliberately, in decent light, and it rewards that. MOVADO is printed in white at six, which is the single point of high contrast on the whole front. Bracelet and Fit Wide hexagonal links in black ion-plated steel, polished on the raised centres and matte around them, so the bracelet has a faint pattern that the case does not. It is sized by removing links. Black plating wears fastest where metal rubs metal, which means a bracelet left loose enough to slide on the wrist will show its age sooner than a properly fitted one. Who This Watch Suits Someone who wants a stone-set watch that is not obviously one. Worn under a sleeve it reads as a plain black watch; turned to the light it does something else entirely. Care and Maintenance Rinse and dry the bracelet rather than scrubbing it, and keep it well away from chlorinated water, which attacks black plating. Use a dry brush on the pave; skin oil is what takes the life out of set stones. Never use polish or an abrasive cloth on a coated case. Have the battery fitted by a watchmaker so the gasket is reseated. About the Brand Movado has used one dot at twelve in place of numerals since 1947. On an all-black paved dial that dot is doing real work: without it there would be no fixed reference on the face at all. Technical Specifications Attribute Specification Brand Movado Reference 3600576 Case shape Round Case Matte black Dial Black crystal pave Markers Dot at twelve, no hour indices Hands Hour and minute Bracelet Black ion-plated stainless steel Gender Women’s Warranty 24 months Buying With Confidence The watch carries a 24-month international manufacturer warranty on the movement; the battery and normal wear fall outside it. It ships new and unworn in its original box with the manufacturer’s paperwork, travels on a tracked nationwide courier, and the Consumer Protection Act gives you the right to return an unworn watch in its original packaging.
