Deep green under a gold bezel, on a steel and gold bracelet. Green is the colour this line does that nobody expects, and in two-tone it is the most conspicuous watch in the range. Case and Wrist Presence A steel case carrying a gold-tone coin-edged rotating bezel with a green insert, a gold crown and two gold pushers on the right flank. The bracelet repeats the two metals down its centre. All that change of tone gives the watch a great deal of visible structure, so it wears bigger and brighter than the plain steel version of the same case. Dial and Legibility Dark green with applied markers filled white, gold hands, and a printed minute track on a chapter ring. MOVADO sits above centre with calendoplan S in italic below and SWISS MADE at the foot. Three registers cross the middle and lower dial in a matching green with pale printing, and a date aperture sits at six. The bezel is graduated to sixty in gold on green with a pip at zero. White markers on a dark green dial give a stronger read than the gold hands do, so in poor light you will find the hours before you find the hands. Movement and Functions Upper pusher starts and stops, lower pusher resets, with elapsed minutes gathering in the sub-registers. The date is corrected from the crown. The bezel turns independently of everything else: bring the pip round to the minute hand and it counts elapsed minutes without a button press. Bracelet and Fit A three-row bracelet with brushed steel outer links and polished gold-tone centres, on a folding clasp. Sizing is by link removal – have a jeweller do it, because a plated link scars permanently if the tool slips. On a two-tone bracelet the gold centre section is where wear shows first, and a snug fit delays that considerably. The gold is plating: rinse and dry the bracelet, never scrub it, and keep it clear of chlorinated water, polish and abrasive cloths. Rinse the bezel edge so grit does not roughen the action.
