Daniel Wellington Petite DW00100283: Rose Gold-Tone Case, Black Dial, White Leather
The Daniel Wellington Petite DW00100283 is a 32 mm quartz watch with a rose gold-tone stainless steel case, a black dial and a white leather strap. The Petite range is the brand’s smaller size, and this reference uses that scale to make a delicate wrist watch with a strong colour contrast: warm metal, a dark face and a pale strap.
At 32 mm it falls well within our women’s range, which covers cases of 36 mm or less.
Case and Wrist Presence
The round case is stainless steel finished in a rose gold tone. It measures 32 mm across and about 6 mm thick, so the watch is small and flat on the wrist. A mineral crystal protects the dial. The retailer page describes the colour as a steel case in the shade of rose gold, while its specification table lists the material simply as stainless steel, so we describe it as rose gold-tone steel rather than solid gold or a specific plating process.
- 32 mm round case – a petite diameter for slender wrists
- About 6 mm thick – a flat profile
- Rose gold-tone stainless steel – warm metal colour on a steel base
- Mineral crystal – a hardened glass cover
Black Dial
The dial is black with a simple analogue layout showing hours, minutes and seconds. There is no date window or sub-dial. Against a rose gold-tone case, a black dial gives a sharp, high-contrast look: the metal frames the face like a border. Because the watch is small, keeping the dial uncluttered helps the time stay easy to read.
Quartz Movement
A battery-powered quartz movement runs the watch. It is accurate, needs no winding and is straightforward to service. When the battery runs flat, a watchmaker can replace it and check the seals at the same time.
White Leather Strap
The strap is white leather, 14 mm wide. A 14 mm width suits the small case and keeps the watch looking fine and proportionate. White leather is a deliberate style choice that brightens the black dial and warm metal, but pale leather marks more easily than dark leather, so wipe it clean promptly and avoid contact with dark dyes such as new denim.
If you would like a different look later, the strap can be replaced with another 14 mm strap.
Water Resistance
The watch is rated to 3 ATM, or 30 metres. It handles splashes and handwashing, but it should not be worn for swimming or showering. Leather in particular does not tolerate repeated soaking.
Who It Suits
- Slender wrists – 32 mm and 6 mm are small and light
- Lovers of contrast – black dial, rose gold-tone case and white strap
- Everyday dress codes – simple enough for work, smart enough for evenings
- Gift buyers – a recognisable minimal design
Styling Notes
A 32 mm watch is meant to be seen as a fine accent rather than a statement piece. The rose gold-tone case picks up warm metal jewellery such as thin chains, small hoops or stacking rings, while the white strap keeps the overall look light in summer and sharp against darker clothing. The black dial stops the pale strap and warm case from looking washed out, and it keeps the time easy to read at a glance.
Care
Wipe the case and crystal with a soft dry cloth. Clean the white leather with a barely damp cloth, dry it naturally and keep it from perfume, sunscreen and prolonged sun. Avoid pools and the sea. Have the battery replaced by a watchmaker.
