The pattern is moulded into the leather rather than cut from reptile skin. It is held by spring bars, and a standard 20 mm replacement can be fitted if you want to change the look. Water Resistance

The York is water resistant to 30 metres, or 3 ATM. That makes it fine for rain and washing your hands, but it should not be worn for swimming or in the shower. Leather and water do not mix well, so let the strap dry naturally if it is splashed.
