1. Measure your chest

With good posture, wrap a measuring tape under your arms around your back and take the measurement at fullest part of your chest. Be sure to keep the measuring tape parallel to the floor.

2. Measure your waist

Our waist can be a difficult area to measure! The natural waistline is halfway between the lowest rib you can feel and the top, outside edge of the hip bone. One trick might help you find this spot are to stand up straight and tilt over. Where your torso creases is where your waistline is.

The Philip Watch R8253165009 puts generously sized presence on the wrist, built around a stainless steel case and a silver dial. It measures 43 mm across and 10 mm deep. Case and Wrist Presence \n This is a 43 mm case and 10 mm deep, worked in stainless steel. The surface treatment is polished. At 43 mm it lands in the range most men’s wrists take comfortably, and it will sit under a cuff. \n Reading the Dial \n The face is finished in silver. \n Movement and Functions \n A quartz movement drives the watch. That means accuracy which needs no daily attention, no winding routine, and no rate drift to correct. \n \n Date display – the current date at a glance \n Water resistance – 10 ATM (100 metres) \n Sapphire crystal – protecting the dial \n \n Water Resistance and Everyday Durability \n The watch is rated to 10 ATM, or 100 metres of static pressure. In practical terms that covers rain, hand washing, showering and recreational swimming. It is not a dive watch, so leave it behind for scuba diving and keep it away from high-pressure water jets. Make sure the crown is fully seated before any contact with water. \n A sapphire crystal protects the dial – the most scratch-resistant option short of diamond, and the reason the dial still looks new after years of wear. \n Who This Watch Suits \n \n An everyday wrist size that still reads as a proper men’s watch \n Building a silver-led accessory wardrobe \n Daily wear that includes rain, washing up and the occasional swim \n Gift buyers looking for something recognisable, boxed and properly warranted \n \n Styling Notes \n Silver is the default for a reason – it reads as neutral metal, pairs with any strap colour you later swap in, and sits comfortably in both office and weekend settings. \n Care and Maintenance \n A watch at this level rewards very little maintenance, but the little it asks for makes the difference between one that still looks sharp in five years and one that does not. Have the battery replaced by a watchmaker rather than a kiosk – a proper service reseats the case gasket at the same time, which is what actually preserves the water rating. A flat battery left in the case is the single most common cause of avoidable movement damage. Rinse the case in fresh water after a swim, especially in the sea, and dry it before it goes back on. \n Store it away from magnets and out of direct heat, and it will hold its rate and its finish. \n About the Brand and Ownership \n The appeal of a Philip Watch is that it is unmistakable. You are buying a design point of view rather than an anonymous case with a dial in it. Quartz keeps the running costs near zero – a battery every few years and the occasional seal check is the whole of the maintenance schedule. Kept out of direct heat, away from magnets and wiped down after a sweaty day, a watch like this will outlast several phones. \n The Short Version \n What you are getting is an everyday size that still has presence. It is not trying to be a heirloom piece and it does not price itself like one. It is a well-made, recognisable watch that does the job every day and looks considered doing it. \n Technical Specifications \n \n Attribute Specification \n Brand Philip Watch \n Model / Reference R8253165009 \n Gender Men’s (43 mm case) \n EAN 8033288919827 \n Case Diameter 43 mm \n Case Thickness 10 mm \n Case Material Stainless steel \n Case Finish Polished \n Dial Colour Silver \n Crystal Sapphire \n Movement Quartz \n Water Resistance 10 ATM / 100 metres \n Warranty 24 months \n \n Buying With Confidence \n Buying a watch online comes down to trusting the seller, so here is exactly what you get. The watch ships new and unworn in its original box with the manufacturer’s paperwork, and it is covered by the full international warranty from the date you receive it – not from the date it landed in our warehouse. We ship nationwide with tracking, and someone actually answers the phone if something goes wrong. \n Under the Consumer Protection A
