1. Measure your chest

With good posture, wrap a measuring tape under your arms around your back and take the measurement at fullest part of your chest. Be sure to keep the measuring tape parallel to the floor.

2. Measure your waist

Our waist can be a difficult area to measure! The natural waistline is halfway between the lowest rib you can feel and the top, outside edge of the hip bone. One trick might help you find this spot are to stand up straight and tilt over. Where your torso creases is where your waistline is.

The Calendoplan chronograph on a Milanese mesh bracelet. Mesh is an unusual thing to hang a chronograph from, and it changes how the watch wears more than any dial colour could. Case and Wrist Presence Polished stainless steel, round, with a thin bezel and lugs that sweep down to meet the mesh. Two cylindrical pushers flank a fluted crown on the right flank. Because mesh is thin and flexible, the case sits proud of the wrist as a distinct disc rather than being absorbed into a heavy bracelet, which suits a dial with this much layout on it. Dial and Legibility Matte black with applied polished triangular markers and long faceted hands, MOVADO printed above centre and calendoplan in italic below. Two chronograph registers are finished in silver with fine engine turning – sixty minutes at three, thirty at six – and their pale faces are what carry the read on a black dial. The weekday arc runs SUN through SAT across the left with a slim pointer, and the date sits in a framed white window at four thirty. A printed minute track edges the dial. Movement and Functions The upper pusher starts and stops the chronograph and the lower one resets it, with elapsed minutes gathering in the two sub-registers. The day pointer and date are set from the crown. Showing the whole week as an arc rather than one abbreviation in a slot is the detail the Calendoplan name refers to, and it is genuinely easier to read. Bracelet and Fit Milanese mesh is woven rather than linked, so there are no rigid segments in it. It drapes over the wrist bone instead of bridging it, runs cool, and lies flat under a shirt cuff. Adjustment is made by sliding the clasp along the weave, which means you can move the fit by a millimetre rather than a whole link – a real advantage on a watch you will wear in summer and winter. Leave it a shade loose; cinched tight, mesh pulls the odd arm hair. Who This Watch Suits Someone who wants a chronograph that stays flat and cool. Mesh is the most comfortable metal bracelet made, and it dresses this dial up rather than down. Care and Maintenance Do not use the pushers while the watch is wet. Mesh traps soap and skin oil between the strands – rinse it under a running tap now and then, work a soft brush along the weave and dry it fully. Wipe polished steel with a cloth, not a compound. Have a watchmaker fit the battery and reseat the case gasket. About the Brand Movado named the Calendoplan for its calendar display, and the weekday arc has stayed with the design across every case and bracelet it has been fitted to. This is the flattest-wearing of them.
