It is a lot of contrast for a dress chronograph, and it is why this version reads warmer than the rest of the family. Case and Wrist Presence 43mm of polished steel with a domed bezel and lugs that drop steeply to the strap. Polished all over means the case throws light from every angle, which makes it look bigger in a room than it measures on a ruler. Strap and Fit Blue leather with a fine pebbled grain, padded under the lugs and narrowing towards the buckle so it does not bunch at the underside of the wrist. Blue is the strap colour most likely to be replaced eventually, and the standard 22mm-class lug width on a case this size means finding a replacement is easy. Leather needs a day off now and then — put it away dry, not damp from a day’s wear. Who This Watch Suits Someone who owns a black-and-steel watch already and wants the second one to have colour in it. Blue and rose gold sits comfortably with navy and with brown, and awkwardly with black. Care and Maintenance Polished steel scratches and can be polished back; the rose gold-tone plating on the dial furniture is behind glass and safe. Keep the strap out of water. Zero the chronograph when you take the watch off — leaving it running flattens the battery noticeably faster than normal timekeeping does.
