Case and Wrist Presence The case is 46mm, which is at the top end of what most wrists carry. It is finished matt rather than polished, so it does not throw light the way a mirror-finished case would – a practical choice on a watch this size, since a polished 46mm case can look enormous. The crown is knurled and easy to grip, set between two pushers on the right. The date at four steps at midnight and needs a nudge after short months. Strap and Fit Green silicone, moulded with a fine textured surface and shaped to curve off the lugs. Silicone is the easiest strap material to live with when a watch gets sweaty – it does not absorb anything, it rinses under a tap and it does not stiffen as it dries. It attracts dust and lint more than leather does, so wipe it down now and then. The green is bright enough that the watch reads as sporting even when the dial does not. Swap the strap for black and the same watch becomes considerably more conservative. Care and Maintenance Rinse the silicone in fresh water after heavy sweat or pool water. Reset the chronograph when you finish timing so the battery is not carrying it. A brushed case hides scratches better than a polished one, but it also cannot be polished bright – clean it with a dry cloth and leave the finish alone.
