Ceramic is fired rather than machined to its final colour, so the white goes all the way through: a scuff will not show a different metal underneath. It is also very hard, which means it resists the fine scratching that dulls a polished steel case, at the cost of being brittle if you drop it onto tile. On the wrist it feels cool at first contact and warms slowly. Dial and Legibility The dial is white with a soft pearlescent cast, marked with slim grey Roman numerals at twelve, three, six and nine and fine batons between them. Setting is a single pull of the crown, and there is nothing to correct at the end of the month. Strap Clasp and Fit A smooth pale leather strap in a soft grey-lilac tone, held at the lugs by polished steel keepers that break up the length of it. It closes on a buckle and adjusts through punched holes.
